92.7 BIG FM, India’s No. 1 FM radio network and winner of the Golden Mikes Broadcaster of the Year award has entered its fifth edition of the BIG Green Ganesha Campaign (BBGC), an initiative to reinforce the importance of celebrating the auspicious occasion of Ganesha Chaturthi in an environmental friendly fashion by promoting the use of Ganesha idols made out of paper mache. The new slogan for this year’s campaign is ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya, Dharti Mata Morya’ that strengthens the motto of the campaign across various platforms among the listeners. For the last 5 years the campaign witnessed an overwhelming response and was a phenomenal success.
92.7 BIG FM sustained and spread its message in the initial phase of the campaign through its paper collective drive and promotion of Paper Ganesha idol in highly populated areas across the city along with leading celebrities of Bollywood.
Among other celebrities versatile actor Rajpal Yadav came forth to lend his support for this noble campaign and conducted the Maha Aarti of Eco friendly Ganesha at the BIG FM Eco-friendly Ganesha pandal at Oberoi Mall. On this occasion he sent out an earnest appeal to all his fans to be sensitive and proactive towards the environment while celebrating the festival. What made the occasion really special was the fact that everyone felt there was an urgent need to create awareness on the importance of celebrating this festival in an Eco Friendly fashion, an initiative 92.7 BIG FM has been closely involved with for the last 5 years. The actor was presented with eco-friendly Ganesha idols at the event to spread the cause of celebrating a clean and green festival.
