30th July, 2019: New Delhi : There is a good news for students who love to read books. It was historical day on Tuesday, senior journalist & former Director General of Indian Institute of Mass Communication K.G. Suresh launched World’s 1st Media Library at your door along with Journalist-Author S.S.Dogra & some students of Advertising-Communication wing of Apeejay Satya University namely Aparna Rani, Anwesha Dutta, Rupal Grover, Anumita Chakrabarti, Varsha Basak & Nirvan Jasrotia.
On this occasion K.G. Suresh quotes, “Reading habit is on the decline among youth. It is also important for youth to know about media, which is the fourth pillar of democracy. Sh Dogra’s initiative is a great step in the direction of creating awareness about media & inculcating reading habit among the youth. I wish him all success.”
Mr.S.S.Dogra has initiated this unique idea promoting the books particularly written on Media Education. Mr. Dogra is himself authored two books on Media Education-1.Media Can Do Wonders in Students Life-published by Maple Press & मीडिया एक कदम आगे (Media-One Step Ahead) published by Ruchi Publication House. He has even conducted more than 150 media workshops across the country. Presently, he is Mg. Editor of Dwarka Parichay Media Group & Bureau Chief-Delhi, India for Nepal based Magazine “HIMALINI”. Mr. Dogra is a member of Delhi Journalists Association for more than two decades and Member of The Foreign Correspondents Club of South Asia too.
