Organising and participating in Symposiums at school and outside has led to the development of a global vision in the faculty and students of Sri Venkateshwar International School, Sector-18, Dwarka. Shri Rajpal, Founder Chairman and Mr Sailander Solanki, Chairman congratulated the Student Council and the Principal Ms Nita Arora for ensuring a continual growth in the leadership abilities of the Sri VIS family.
Sri VIS was one of the three Delhi schools to be selected for participation in the British Council’s Young Global Citizens’ Summit at Bhubaneswar. It had the objective of establishing a community of students and teachers who are committed towards global citizenship and internationalism. The three-day summit witnessed facilitators from; Big Dance, 100 Words, BBC World Class, Royal Shakespeare Society, Tony Blair Faith Foundation and others; laying the foundation for creative writing, theatre, dance, physical fitness, music, presentation skills, communication, fine arts, conflict resolution , faith and youth leadership. Ms Renuka Chander along with Satvik, Sanyam and Rhea marked their presence at the summit with dynamic and enthusiastic participation.
Adding feather to the cap was the Extra learn International School Award bestowed upon Sri VIS by Planet Edu for the meritorious performance by the largest number of students in the country in the Cambridge ESOL examination. Nineteen students were awarded in a glittering function held at the India Habitat Centre. Ma Malini Pandey and Ms Navita Srivastava received the honours on behalf of the school. The school continues to innovate to broaden the horizons of learning.
