6th September, 2008. “Justice is at your door” yes of course, it’s good news for the residents of South & West Delhi. Recently, Dwarka court complex was inagurated by Chief Justice of India- Sh.K.G.Balakrishnan. Smt. Shiela Dixit-Chief Minister of Delhi & Justice A.P.Shah-Chief Justice of Delhi High Court also graced the occasion. With this opening, fifteen courts from Patiala House and Tis Hazari courts would be transferred to Dwarka Court and it starts its functioning from 8th September onward. Now, the cases of South and West Districts will be settled here. Presently, all the criminal cases of South-West districts are transferred to Dwarka Court. Metropolitan Magistrates and Additional Session Judge are deputed for hearing the cases related FERA, Custom, Motor Vehicle Accident Claims, Tribunal and NDPS etc. The most Hi Tech centerally AC complex is divided into three wings, has 79 courtrooms and provided 345 chambers for the lawyers. On the inaugural function, Executive Members of DCBA, Dwarka, prominent judges, lawyers and important local personalities were also witnessed the whole proceedings.
