The celebrations to mark the 69th Independence Day of India at Sachdeva Global School, Dwarka, was held on August 11, 2016, with the unfurling of the national flag by the Chairman Shri. S. K. Sachdeva accompanied by the playing of National Anthem by the school orchestra. The guests for the day were the members of the managing committee, Shri S.K Sachdeva, Mrs. Kiran Gambhir, Dr. R. C. Chaddha, Dr. S.N. Maheswari. Dr Namita Sharma, Principal, Queens Valley School and Mrs. Sudha Sadhangi, Headmistress, Shri Ram World School, Dwarka were also present. Ms. Sumana Dutta Sarkar, Head of School, felicitated the guests with a souvenir of art forms of India created by the school students.
Shri Sachdeva’s speech to the students and the teachers was not only motivational, but also enthused a new enthusiasm in all for being instrumental towards a better tomorrow.
The programme put up by the students – “Avlokan – Bharat se India Tak” marked a tribute to the glory of India and displayed the various stages of its development beginning from 1947 to the present day, showcasing the various revolutions like the Green, white, and technological revolution. To enliven the glory of the nation, the students performed group dances, voicing the journey of the past 7 decades.
With much fervor and spirit of patriotism, the programme ended with the release of ‘Tiranga’ balloons in the air with strings of flags trailing behind carrying the message of each Globalite’s dedication to the cause of nation’s growth and freedom.
