It was suggested that the police should carry out regular security audit of the residential societies and may start this exercise in the first instance in few selected societies as pilot project. Inaction of the RWAs/CGHS Management Committees in installation of CCTV cameras and tenant verification etc was also pointed out by few persons. Inefficiency of the security guards was also discussed. SDKS members also requested that the police should ensure that only licensed Security Agencies are operating in Dwarka .
Problem of vehicles parking and road obstruction was discussed at length. It was emphatically reiterated that basement parking areas of Maneesh Mall (Sector 22) and Vardhman Mall (Sector-23) are closed till date and the same must be put into use for vehicles parking at the earliest.
The ACP directed the Addl SHO Shri Sunil Kumar to depute two constables in the police station as co-ordinator for Public complaints and suggestions. ACP informed that action for removal of encroachments has been initiated and few encroachments have been removed, but lot remains to be done. He also mentioned that the encroachments issue mainly pertains to the MCD. When insisted by the people present in the meeting, he agreed for writing a letter to MCD for taking action on their part for removing the encroachments. He also agreed to approach the MCD for holding joint meeting of Delhi Police, traffic police, MCD and the SDKS & other local residents.
The ACP proposed to hold such meetings on last Sunday of every month at 8:30 hours at the same place, regularly, which was accepted by everyone present in the meeting. He also promised to involve the Delhi Traffic Police in such Interactions. The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere with vote of thanks by Shri D.C. Mathur, Secretary SDKS.
