Drawing from personal experience, I have always believed that good books elevate thinking and shape character, much like the works of Joseph Murphy, Napoleon Hill, Khushwant Singh and Chetan Bhagat. Inspired by my mentor IPS Joginder Singh, who advocated reading during travel, I picked up this book on a recent flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to IGIA and found it both engaging and deeply relevant to today’s youth.
Structured into 25 crisp chapters, the book offers practical mantras such as “Be a Warrior, not a Worrier,” “Compete with Yourself,” and “Revise and Become Wise.” It seamlessly blends motivational insights with actionable advice on time management, presentation skills, self-discipline and the importance of rest. Its interactive style—enriched with activities and yoga practices—ensures a holistic approach to student well-being, addressing both mind and body.
The author’s note highlights India’s youthful energy and underscores the importance of nurturing it through encouragement rather than pressure. The inspiration drawn from the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ initiative, which directly engaged with students’ anxieties, adds authenticity and emotional depth. Particularly noteworthy are the heartfelt letters to parents and teachers, acknowledging their vital role in a student’s journey.
Non-preachy, practical and thought-provoking, Exam Warriors goes beyond exam preparation—it becomes a companion for life. Accessible, engaging and insightful, it is a must-read for students, parents and educators alike, offering a meaningful roadmap to balanced success in academics and beyond.
