Chase your dreams, and not subjects -Veronica, alumna of Sri VIS scripts her own success story

Sri VIS alumna of the batch of 2017 does her country and Alma Mater proud by winning two Earthy 2019 trophies in the Travel Earth Bloggers Convention  and Earthy Award night held at Sabah, Malaysia on June 27-28, 2019.

The Convention was co hosted by Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board and Malaysian Association or Tour and Travel Agents, Kalindi Air and Malaysian Airlines.

Veronica Gera had been a student with not much interest in academics till Grade 10. Then she discovered her passion in photography and found support of her family.

When the school discovered her passion, the principal arranged an outdoor photography workshop with the ace photographer winner of many national and international awards Vijay Bedi for Veronica and Devansh Saverynya, another keen and budding photographer.

Class 11 and Veronica got a compartment and was given some time to prepare for the paper. But that did not deter her school principal from starting a Photography Club and honouring Veronica as the Head of the Photography Club of Sri VIS.

Thus started a journey of self discovery and creation of a newer self.
Veronica started enjoying the liberal arts studies as the fear of rigid academic subjects lifted and recognition catapulted her to hitherto unknown levels of self belief.

Veronica is now a freelancer photographer and a traveller. She pursued a photography course with Raghu Rai, after debating with herself whether simple graduation or any other diploma course will help her find success. She started getting assignments when still in school.

Devansh Saverynya moved to Whistling Woods International Institute of Film and Television, Mumbai and is happy doing something different.

Success in life is not defined by marks but by the passion, sincerity of efforts and determination towards what you like to be.
