DWARKA FORUM Meeting with Chief Engineer (Dwarka) and other Senior Officers of DDA

Dwarka Forum Governing Body Meeting was held with Shri R. K. Singh Chief Engineer (Dwarka) and other senior Officers of Delhi Development Authority on 9-1-2018 at DDA office, Mangla Puri, Palam, Dwarka, New Delhi.

DF point-by-point, discussed several Civil, Horticulture and Electrical related issues of Dwarka Sub City pertaining to DDA in details.
DF raised CIVIL issues ranging from 1) Worst condition of Vacant Plots, which are now converting to dumping ground for Malba, garbage and place of anti – social elements, 2) Carpeting/ repairing of all broken roads particularly roads adjacent to Palam Flyover, 3) Desilting and covering of all open SW drains to avoid accidents and spreading of diseases, 4) Construction of LSC/ CSC as already earmarked by DDA, 5) Construction of broken boundary wall/ gates of all parks under DDA, 6) encroachment on vacant plots, footpaths and in the markets particularly on Sector 6, 10, Sector 5, 11 and Sectors 4, 12 etc, DF raised ELECTRICAL issues : 1) Re-placement of broken/ rusted street light poles, 2) Removal of replaced / junked poles from the sites, 3) Replacement of sodium bulbs with LED lights and the regular maintenance.

DF also discussed the issues related to HORTICULTURE 1) Poor condition of DDA maintained parks, 2) regular pruning of trees particularly those covers traffic signals and street lights, 3) maintenance of termite ridden trees etc. DF recommended a NODEL OFFICER for all DDA related issues, CE agreed to the proposal and assured SE(HQ), DWARKA, DDA will be NODEL Officer soon.

On our proposal to depute an DDA Officer to have discussions with DC (SDMC), on DDA – SDMC common issues, CE assured that EE (WD-8) will join DF for such meetings with DC (NGZ), SDMC.

CE assured early action on roads adjoining to Palam Flyover. Covering of open SW drains with Slabs, pruning of trees, removal of encroachments etc. On the issue of DDA’s Market plot with SDMC, CE assured action on priority. On the issue of Park behind Evergreen Society, Sector -7, Dwarka, CE directed the concerned officer to protect the DDA land and shops by construction of broken boundary wall and other possible steps. Chief Engineer and other concerned senior officers took a note of all the points which emanated from discussion.

Meeting was conducted in very good atmosphere and CE assured to take all possible steps to make citizens life more comfortable. It was also decided to have more such meetings in the near future.
