FLO INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH SWAMI RAMDEV FROM HIS JOURNEY FROM ‘YOGA GURU TO MARKETING GURU’


FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), the women business wing of apex trade body FICCI organised an interactive session with Swami Ramdev ji on his journey from “Yoga Guru to Marketing Guru” here today .

Baba Ramdev stole the thunder at gathering of about 400 business women in the interactive session with FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) president Ms Pinky Reddy peppered with gyan, humour, and puns .He took on everyone from powerful MNCs to new age consumers obsessed with looking good, capping things off with a live demo of yoga Asanas and exercises.

“Patanjali will not allow foreign equity or go in for a public issue and will become the biggest FMCG company in the country by the year 2025″ said Guru Ramdev while spekaing on the occasion

” I will also not campaign for any party and will remain neutral during the coming Lok Sabha elections in the year 2019 .” he said,

Baba Ramdev talked about his business empire Patanjali’s future business plans which include forays into milk and dairy milk products as well as apparel: kids wear, ethnic wear, fashion and sportswear. He also has bigger business plans around honey and mineral water under brand name Divyajal.

Throughout Baba Ramdev peppered his session on Ayurveda, business and politics with ample digs at MNCs. “Patanjali is set to go global. We have already set up a Patanjali centre in Nepal. We will soon enter Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Africa but we will never exploit developing countries. Their profit will be their profits. From the more economically advanced countries, on the other hand, we will take back every penny looted from us and more”, he said to a cheering crowd.

When quizzed about whether he will always remain as the face of Patanjali, the yoga guru said that the brand has cut down on the usage of his face for 50% of the ads. The brand’s trust value is so strong that it does not need his face anymore, he said

Swami Ramdev is best known for popularising yoga among Indians through his mass yoga camps and daily television programs, which airs to millions around the world. Ramdevji is the founder and head of the Patanjali Yoga Peeth in Haridwar and teaches around 200,000 people per month at his yoga camps.
