The rapid development of all forms of infrastructure and the empowerment of women through initiatives like Mudra Yojana and PM Awas Yojana showcase tangible progress.” Ms Shivkumar said .

The strides made in skill development, higher education, and women’s participation in the workforce are commendable. The allocation to the Education Ministry in 2023-24 reflects the government’s dedication to nurturing a knowledge-based society.

“ It’s encouraging to see Nirmala Sitharaman highlight the impressive 43% female enrolment in STEM courses. The government’s initiative to leverage existing hospital infrastructure for expanding medical colleges is a strategic move. The formation of a committee to address issues and provide recommendations demonstrates a proactive approach towards enhancing healthcare and education sectors. It is also noteworthy that the finance minister also announced that the government would encourage cervical cancer vaccinations for girls between the ages of nine and 14. The extension of Ayushman Bharat cover to Anganwadi and Asha workers also demonstrates a commitment to comprehensive healthcare.” She added

The focus on tourism projects, especially in islands like Lakshadweep, underscores the potential for growth in the sector. I am sure more and more women entrepreneurs will benefit from FICCI FLO looks forward to actively engaging with these initiatives and collaborating with the government to catalyse sustainable growth.
