It is amazing that the Sanstha has taken it up as its tradition to start this program every year with glorious celebration of “World Environment Day” falling in the month of June, which is ideal for such a drive in view of approaching monsoon season. The tree plantation program of the Sanstha is carried out till end of August with continued aftercare to ensure survival of the planted trees and shrubs.

On this occasion fifty ‘Panda’ trees were planted by the Sanstha members in association with some nearby residents and distinguished guests, with the support of the staff of Horticulture Department of the DDA.

Existing trees in the park were also given support, where ever required for proper growth. Problem of ‘Deemak’ (termite) harming the existing grown up trees was discussed at length and it was decided to treat them with pest control chemicals in the coming week. One of the Sanstha members promised to provide anti-termite medicines.

Dy. Director(Horticulture) Shri Prem Chand graced this occasion with his presence along with his officers and inspired Sanstha members as well as his gardening staff and promised to render all possible help to the Sanstha in this noble cause at any point of time.
