Grand Inauguration of the Renovated Himachal Sadan Dharamshala, Renewed Energy for Himachali Unity in Delhi–NCR

Sunday, April 12, 2026: (Prof.S.S.Dogra) Under the aegis of the Himachal Social Body Federation, Delhi, the renovated Himachal Sadan Dharamshala at Karam Pura was jointly inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, Raghubir Singh Bali, and the Guest of Honour, Rajya Sabha MP Anurag Sharma.

On this occasion, young Himachali singer Sunny Chaudhary and Advocate Rajan Singh captivated the audience with soulful bhajans dedicated to Baba Balak Nath Ji, earning enthusiastic applause. Representatives of various Himachali social, religious and cultural organizations from Delhi–NCR, along with industrialists, entrepreneurs and intellectuals, attended the event in large numbers.

Federation Chairman and former Labour Commissioner K.R. Verma, along with members of the executive committee, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests. In their addresses, the guests appreciated the Federation’s social and cultural initiatives, describing them as an inspiring effort to keep the Himachali community united.

Chairman Verma stated that the Federation, established in 1969 and registered in 1971, has been consistently working for community welfare, preservation of culture, organizing free medical and blood donation camps, disaster relief and various social support initiatives. General Secretary Ashwini Kumar Sharma presented the annual report. Former Chairman–Patron Rajendra Kumar Sharma and S.P. Dutta recalled the invaluable contributions of the elders in the construction of the Dharamshala, noting that most of the renovation work has been completed, with the remaining construction progressing steadily.

According to Federation Treasurer Kishori Lal Sharma, eminent personalities and their family members who contributed to the construction of the Dharamshala and to community service were also honored during the ceremony.
