The natkhat Kanhas’ and the adorable Radhas’ of Little Steps brought colour and gaiety to The Indian Heights School, Sector 23, Dwarka, on the occasion of Janmashtami on August 27, 2013. The school wore a festive look with peacock feathers, flutes and matki’s full of butter adorning the corridors. The little ones put up a grand show in the form of a dance drama depicting the journey of Lord Krishna from his birth at Mathura to Gokul, where he grew up.
The students enacted the fight of Kaaliya Naag to the Natkhat Makhan Chor and even the famous Raas Leela of Radha Krishna with the gopies. Janamashtami is never complete without the “Matki Phor” scene, so finally the celebration culminated with honorable Principal, Ms. Archana Narain along with little Krishna breaking the ‘Matki’.
