LOKPAL BILL, Corruption, CVC and Lower Bureaucracy

Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has failed to make any impact on the widespread corruption in the buraucracy. My own case registered with CVC in June 2007 ( 007-DLH-031) is hanging on for the last four and a half years since CVC has no independent infrastructure (mechanism) to get corruption cases investigated.

It cannot punish the corrupt particularly when the Chiefs/Directors of Investigation in State Governments and Union Territories do not want that and do not cooperate with CVC. Chief of the CVC’s stand before the Parliamentary Standing Committee is without any justification in the light of facts.

So lower bureaucracy must be brought under the Jan Lok Pal Bill.
