Priyanka Khurana Goyal, Mrs India 2015 has truly had a remarkable journey. Earning 1st Rank in Delhi University while graduating in Bachelors of Information Technology in 2004, Priyanka’s determination to make a name for herself was unwavering. Her next step, took her to the prestigious IIM Calcutta from where she completed her MBA in 2006 ranking 3rd in her batch. Since then Priyanka has been steadily climbing the ladder at one of the largest investment banks in the world, Nomura. Currently holding the post of Executive Director – Fixed Income Sales, Priyanka is one who firmly believes that life after marriage holds limitless opportunities.
Priyanka is mother of a 2 year old son and thoroughly enjoys motherhood and the challenges it brings. She believes that children are our biggest teachers and show us the way to live life the right way with a lot of enthusiasm, courage and sprit of experimentation. She is also a keen follower of yoga and meditation and believes that before we interact with the outside world, we need to meaningfully get inside and introspect the bigger meaning of life. She believes that this is her key to stay balanced and happy and this allows her to take multiple roles with equal ease and grace.
Priyanka enjoys dancing to Bollywood tunes and loves cooking and entertaining people. She believes that both dancing and cooking gives her a medium to let the creativity out and express herself. She is also an keen traveler and enjoys adventure sports like snorkeling, sky diving, river rafting and various others. She believes that life is like a bouquet and it is very important for all of us to keep a balance in different aspects of our lives.
A wife, mother & working professional, Priyanka decided to take a step forward and work towards empowering & encouraging other married women in India to take up innovative work. To do this Priyanka took part in the prestigious Mrs. India, Queen of Substance pageant organized by the Handicapped Children and Women’s Aid (HWCA). After successfully gunning through 7 rounds of qualification, Priyanka beat 24 other contestants to be crowned “Mrs. India, Queen of Substance”.
The title empowers Priyanka to promote different community services to help underprivileged and disenfranchised women in India. Priyanka is currently touring across India educating herself in the sociology and anthropology of India’s diverse people and traditions. Empowering women is something that is very close to her heart as Priyanka believes that India has a lot of talent which needs visibility to move to the next level of success. She greatly supports the young women entrepreneurs and uses her title to be the catalyst to take their business and confidence to the next level. This exercise will help her represent the truest identity of India and Indian women in particular at the Mrs. Earth title in Jamaica this October.
