Bollywood actress Veena Malik most awaited Kannada movie Silk Sakkath hot Maga has just hit the silver screens all over and running successfully. The film has release in 140 screens among 50 theatres that usually doesn’t screen Kannada films and has gained tremendous response from the audience. First day first show was watched by Veena Malik with her Co-star Akshay at Asia’s biggest theatre 1480 seater which was houseful. The movie which has been tagged as an adult movie is getting a great response in Bangalore. The film released in packed houses in Mangalore, Udupi, Hyderabad, Mysore and fans were quite excited to see Veena Malik.
Veena Malik said, “Me and My co-star Akshay and the team of Silk Sakkath Hot just saw the film in Kapali theatre. I was very excited to see such a big crowd for the film. We all liked the film a lot and is quite overwhelmed to see so many fans.”
Veena plays the role of Vijaylakshmi in the film, while Akshay plays Shiva, a character with negative shade in the film. The story revolves around a girl, who enters the film industry due to family problems. But once she becomes a star, she has other issues to face. How she overcomes them forms the crux of the story.

Veena Malik’s most awaited film Silk Sakkath Hot Maga looks set to break all Sandalwood box office records. There is no stopping for Veena. The talented diva has been busy from quite some time promoting her film Silk Sakkath Hot Maga. This time, she promoted the film by selling movie tickets at Bangalore Multiplex’s. The advance booking for the film is on and the tickets are selling like hot cakes. Thousands of fans lined up to get the advance booking of Veena’s movie at outside of multiplex. They never mind the long wait. From elderly women to college going students — hordes of fans queued up outside the Cinema Hall for a glimpse of Bollywood actress Veena Malik, the leading star of the film. As fans jostled in the queue and many of them did not leave the ticket window until Veena shook hands with them, the superstar obliged his admirers with his distinct charm and wit. Some fans even asked for the star’s autograph while buying the tickets; other clicked his snap on their cellphones.
The fan frenzy got out of hand at times and Lathicharge was done by police to control the Maddening crowd. But Veena was enjoying it all. He always responded when fans spoke to him and told them to go and watch the film. Veena Malik said, “Silk is touted to be the biggest blockbuster in sandalwood industry raising the bar of film making in the region. It’s been going housefull all over Karnataka.”
During a special screening for women, Veena Malik got quite emotional when the women came up to her and many of them couldn’t stop there tears coming out. “It was a special movement for me when women’s came to watch my movie and they were very supporting”, said Veena Malik.
