Dwarka Forum organised a Meeting (through video conferencing) with Ms Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Leader of the House, SDMC, Shri B. P. Bhardwaj, Joint Assessor & Collector and Shri P. C Meena, Deputy Assessor & Collector, Najafgarh Zone, South Delhi Municipal Corporation on 13th June, 2020 on the topic of filling of online property tax and arrangements made by Property Tax Department.
Large number of Dwarka residents including Governing Body members of various Cooperative Group Housing Societies/Residents Welfare Associations of the Sub City participated in this online meeting. Residents raised the issues and queries mainly related to filling of Online property tax and arrangements made by the property tax department.
Dwarka residents briefed the SDMC officials about the difficuties being faced by them particularly in the new system of online submission of property tax. They also raised the requirements of Property owner’s PAN Number, date of birth, Bank account details and Email ID etc, for online payment of the tax.
Some of the participants raised the issues like Unit Area Value in sub city and “USE” factor in Tax Calculation system. Some residents also requested SDMC to develop a system, so that property owners can their check their pending property tax arrears.
The Officials of property tax department replied almost all the queries of Dwarka residents upto the satisfaction and also shared complete details of current ongoing rebate policy for Senior Citizens, properties owned by Women, Physically Challenged and Ex-servicemen etc.
On the request of Dwarka Forum, the SDMC also shared the contact numbers of property tax officials of the Zone. Dwarka Forum also requested to extend the last date (with 15% rebate) for payment of property tax. The Governing Body of Dwarka Forum shared the feedback received from various residents with Ms Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Leader of the House, SDMC. She has very kindly assured to look into these issues on priority.
The meeting was conducted in a very good atmosphere. The SDMC officials participated in the meeting, took a note of all the points that emanated from the discussions and assured to take all possible steps on the issues discussed and to make it more comfortable.
