Dwarka Forum meeting was held with Shri Uttam Gupta, Director (UTTIPEC), Delhi Development Authority on 25th October, 2021 at DDA Office, Vikas Minar, ITO, New Delhi. Shri Chharing Bodh, Assistant Director was also present in the meeting.
Dwarka Forum (DF) handed over a Letter to the Director, UTTIPEC, DDA on various important issues related to traffic and transportation infrastructure of Dwarka Sub City pertaining to Delhi Development Authority.
Dwarka Forum discussed the requirements of Flyovers at intersections of : (i) Sectors 1,2,6 &7 on Road No 201, (ii) Rajapuri crossing on Road No. 201, (iii) Dwarka Mode T-point and also (iv) Tunnel road or underpass at Shahbad Mohammadpur Railway crossing etc for improvement of traffic conditions of Dwarka Sub City.
Due to heavy traffic congestion, the issue of widening of existing Palam – Dwarka Flyover was also discussed in details.
DF requested for Foot-over bridge near Metro Station Sector-21, Dwarka and possibility of parallel road alongwith Railway Line from Bijwasan to Delhi Cantt etc.
DF shared the feedback received from Dwarka residents about various traffic issues prevalent in Dwarka and discussed the possible remedial measures for improvement of traffic conditions.
Dwarka Forum also discussed the requirements of multilevel parking facilities particularly near Markets of Sector 6 &10, Markets of Sectors 4,5,11, & 12, near Ramphal Chowk Market, Sector-7, Dwarka and near Medical Council of India, Sector-8, Dwarka etc.
DF requested for Metro connectivity between Blue line and Magenta Line through Dwarka Sub City and extention of Airport Metro Line upto IFFCO Chowk, Gurugram.
It was also decided that a Joint Meeting will be arranged with Officials from UTTIPEC, School of Planning and Architecture and Dwarka Forum on these issues.
The Director and other concerned Official of ‘Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure Planning and Engineering Centre (UTTIPEC) DDA’ briefed DF, about the Comprehensive Mobility Plan for Dwarka Sub City and took a note of all the points that emanated from the discussions.
The meeting was conducted in a very good atmosphere.
The Director (UTTIPEC) assured to take all possible steps on the issues discussed and to make citizens life more comfortable.
