This year marks the 556th Birth Anniversary Parkash Purab of Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism. In Dwarka Sub City, the Parkash Purab was celebrated on 5th November 2025 with great fervor and enthusiasm.
On this auspicious occasion, VISHESH KIRTAN SAMMAGAM (Special Gurbani Recital) was organised by Sri Guru Singh Sabha (Regd), Dwarka at Gurdwara Sahib, Sector-11, Dwarka, New Delhi on Wednesday the 5th November, 2025 throughout the day.
The celebration started with ‘Parkash of Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji’ (arrival) in beautifully decorated big pandal, in which Gurbani Kirtan was performed by Professor Rawel Singh ji, Hazoori Ragi, Sri Darbar Sahib, Sri Amritsar, Punjab; followed by Gurbani Vichar by Giani Sandeep Singh, Head Granthi, Gurdwara Moti Bagh Sahib, members of Istri Satsang Sabha, Dwarka and Children of Dwarka Sangat etc.
The evening Diwan was started with recital of ‘Path Sri Rehraas Sahib’, ‘Aarti Sahib’ and Gurbani Kirtan by Bhai Zora Singh ji, Hazoori Ragi, Sri Darbar Sahib, Sri Amritsar, Punjab ; Bhai Jatinder Singh ji, Hazoori Ragi, Gurdwara Sahib, Dwarka and Gurbani Vichar by Bhai Gianender Singh Ji, Head Granthi, Gurdwara Sahib, Dwarka.
Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji showed the path of peace and harmony to the mankind for their betterment. Guru ji’s message of ‘devotion to God’ and ‘excellence of conduct’ can help us in transforming the Society, said A. S. Chhatwal, Treasurer of the Singh Sabha.
Large number of residents of Dwarka Sub City and adjoining areas including representatives of various social and religious groups visited the Holy Gurdwara Sahib; paid their homage to Guru Sahib and participated in various Sewa including langar distribution, Jora Ghar (place for shoes etc.) etc. Dwarka Gurdwara Committee has arranged Langar (community kitchen) for thousands of devotees throughout the day. The Children of Dwarka performed the Martial Art of Sikhs called Gatka.
