The festival of Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated by the students of The Indian Heights School on April 12, 2013, with lot of pomp and gusto. The school campus turned into a carnival of dance, song and skit as the learners from The Indian Heights School presented a colourful enriching assembly. A speech in English on the relevance of the Baisakhi as Harvest Festival, a skit offering a glimpse into the life of Dr. B.R Ambedkar and an energetic bhangra performance by the students clad in traditional attire on the beats of dhol, enthralled the audience. An Interhouse quiz on the life of Dr. B.R Ambedkar was another highlight of the day’s programme. The objective was to celebrate the festivities as well as inculcate traditional values and respect for culture in the students.
