12th annual Mini Marathon organized by Apeejay School of Management & Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication concludes

Over 350 participants braved the hazy Sunday morning and ran to support Apeejay Dwarka Campus’ initiative themed ‘Hum Veer Hain’ in the 12th annual mini-marathon. Residents of Delhi, from senior citizens to college students to school children, ran on the roads of Dwarka to show solidarity for the cause. The awareness run seeked to instill the spirit of going beyond the call of duty and investing oneself for growth and advancement of our nation.

Chief guest, Mr. Anto Alphonse, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Dwarka District flagged the race open. Speaking on the occasion, he said, ”Achieving inclusive growth and development is a major initiative taken up by the Indian government in a country as diverse as ours. It is the duty of every citizen to work towards societal transformation and it can only occur when all its citizens engage at equal levels with their ideas and abilities in a political and social environment that is all inclusive and cohesive. I commend Apeejay’s efforts towards mobilizing support for ‘Hum Veer Hain’ campaign and creating a society where citizens contribute to the progress of our society.”
“We have been organizing the mini-marathon for the past 11 years. In its 12th edition, the theme is ‘Hum Hain Veer’ emphasizing the need for citizens to respond to our call of duty – towards our society, the people and our country – at all times will help in evolving India to a society that is just and progressive. I would like to thank all the participants of the marathon for making this a highly successful event”, said Prof. OP Khanduja, Executive Director, Apeejay Dwarka Campus.
