The students of The Indian Heights School, Sector 23, Dwarka celebrated the festival of Dussehra with lot of zeal and festive fervour through a school assembly on 4th October,2019 to symbolize the victory of good over evil.
The cultural program commenced with amazing facts about the pan-Indian festival which is celebrated as Garbha-Dandiya, Ramlila, Golu and Durga Pooja in various parts of the country. The rendition of a devotional song to evoke the blessings of Lord Rama lend a soulful and pious spirit to the occasion. Traditional dandiya dance performance left the audience spell bound.
The teachers presented a brief synopsis of Ramayana which greatly amused and enlightened the children. The school principal, Ms. Archana Narain in her address appreciated the effort of the students and emphasized that this day is considered not only the victory of Ram over Ravana but of virtue over vices. She further reiterated that the celebration of the festival every year is a reminder to overcome our weakness and become strong by indulging in self introspection. The assembly concluded with the rendition of national anthem.
