Gurupurab celebrated at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Sector-11, Dwarka

The Parkash Utsav marks the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji, the founder of Sikhism. This is one of the most sacred festival of Sikhs. Guru Nanak Dev ji was born in the village Rai-Bhoi-di-Talwandi (now called Nankana Sahib), near Lahore, Pakistan in 1469.  Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji showed us the path of peace and harmony. His message of devotion to God and excellence of conduct can help us in transforming the society.

In Dwarka Sub city, the Gurupurab was celebrated on 25-11-2015 at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Sector-11, Dwarka with great fervor and enthusiasm. Large number of Dwarka residents from different religions visited the Holy Gurudwara Sahib to pay the homage to the Guru Sahib.
The Gurudwara Committee has also organised Parbhat Pheri (early morning Kirtan) at different parts of the Sub City for around 25 days. On 23-11-2015, the Parbhat Pheri Kirtan was held at the residence of Sardar Arvinder Singh Chhatwal in Sector-8, Dwarka.

On 29th November, 2015, a religious procession (Nagar Kirtan) led by the Punj Pyaras and the Holy Palki of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji was organised by Gurudwara Committee, which was routed through different sectors of Dwarka, New Delhi.
