NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CYBER BULLYING ON 17th Jan


The National Conference on Cyber Bullying is being organized by Center Against Cyber Bullying (CACB) alongwith Birla Vidya Niketan School at New Delhi on 17th January, 2014. The venue of the Conference is Birla Vidya Niketan, Pushpa Vihar, Sector-IV, New Delhi-110017, India. The timing of the said conference is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Chief Guest of the said Conference is Mr. Vineet Joshi, Chairman, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and would be addressed by Asia’s leading Cyberlaw expert and authority Mr. Pavan Duggal, Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Chairman, Center Against Cyber Bullying (CACB) . The same would be also addressed by Mrs. Ameeta Mulla Wattal, Chairman, National Progressive School Conference (NPSC).

The vision of the National Conference on Cyber Bullying is manifold. It seeks:
*To create far more awareness about cyber bullying amongst the various stakeholders in the education system including students, teachers, schools, school administrators, parents and other interested stakeholders.
*To strengthen, empower, protect and preserve Indian children and Indian childhood from cyber bullying and other related cyber crimes.
*To empower school children to be able to detect cyber bullying as a phenomenon and effectively handle it.
*To come up with appropriate recommendations for the Government of India to take steps to address the increasing menace of cyber bullying.
*To develop and create contents of the National Seminar on Cyber Bullying which could be conducted at various schools and educational institutions across India.
*To create a network for Indian schools and provide single-point of contact for reference in all matters pertaining to cyber bullying, including appropriate directions, counselling and advice.
*To coordinate with other international agencies and international players working in the area of cyber bullying.
*To create peer educators on Cyber bullying amongst students who can then further transmit the message of the fight against cyber bullying to the school students and accompanying ecosystem.
*To provide platform for coordination of all anti cyber bullying activities concerning Indian schools.
*To help create culture of cyber security so that all stakeholders can fight and address the issue of cyber bullying, mobile bullying and other related cybercrimes rather than ignoring or bubbling under the same.
