Sukh Dukh Ke Sathee Sanstha organized its seventh tree plantation programme of the current monsoon season on 4th August. The programme was carried out in the DDA park behind Sadhbhawna Apartments of Sector-22 Dwarka, after much persuasion with the senior officers of Horticulture Department because of the initial helplessness expressed by their staff to co-operate for the reason that this park has been adopted for maintenance by nearby Mount Cormel School. Finally, it was agreed that the Sanstha will carry out this programme with the help of Horticulture Staff as per the plan of the School.
So far, the Sanstha has planted about 700 trees and shrubs of different varieties in the current monsoon season against their target of 1000 plants and it appears sure that they will go far ahead of their target. The veteran social worker Smt Cicley Codian, President ANHLGT also participated in the program together with her co-member. The dignities like Shri Rajesh Gehlot, Councillor and Chairman SMCD Standing Committee Shri Prem Chand, Dy. Direcotor(Horticulture) and his officers, Shri Rakesh Kumar, Manager State Bank of India Sector-23 Dwarka and Shri Reji Mon, Vice President (Ex-President) of Dwarka Forum have also participated from time to time in plantation programs of the Sanstha. Shri Subhash Chand, Section Officer of Horticulture Department also remained present in almost all such programs of the Sanstha. It is a matter of immense pleasure that the Sanstha has been able to inspire many others to join their hands in this noble work.
An admirable addition to the extensive tree plantation by Sukh Dukh Ke Sathee Sanstha is now their newly started drive of anti-termite treatment to the infected ‘shisham’ trees alongside the roads in Sector 22 and 23, with the help of the Horticulture Department. The first such program was carried out by some dedicated Sanstha members on 27th July from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. for which Sanstha is grateful to Shri Madanji of Nav Sansand Apartments of Secotr-22 who provided 10 KGs of anti-termite chemical “Foratox” and Shri R.P. Singh, Section Officer of Horticulture Department who personally supervised his staff in this task for about four hours despite the falling rain and promised to ensure proper completion of this venture. The next such programme is scheduled on 8th August 2012.
All the programmes were coordinated by Capt S.S. Mann of the Sanstha, who also arranged plantation of fifty ‘bad’ and ‘pipal’ trees on 13th July alongside the road heading towards the Gurdwara in Sector-11. Capt Mann said that he will feel happy to assist anybody to organize such programmes for benefit of common public in Dwarka and may be contacted any time on his M# 9818648043 for this purpose.
