NEWLY ELECTED DY. MAYOR HONOURED–INFORMS SCHEMES FOR DWARKA

To mark the victory of Shri Rajesh Gehlot and wish him success, a dinner was hosted in the honour of newly elected Dy. Mayor Rajesh Gehlot by Mukesh Sinha, Editor, Dwarka City paper. On the occasion, Rajesh Gehlot said that the permanent solution of the water problem is likely by 2014 and till that, residents will have to fight for getting the needed water for the area as at present, it is not even available for drinking. He informed that he would propose to the MCD that some percent of the House Tax collected from the societies should be used for the development of internal roads of the societies. He said that in the next six months, sub-roads will be re carpeted as these were constructed five years ago. An habitat centre will be constructed in sector-5 and as the capacity of the present sport complex is full, two new sport-complex would be developed. He said that most of the DDA’s pockets are now with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. He said that the DDA has relaxed the condition of 5 years in existence for any ‘Body’ or Association for entitling it for the plot of religious place and now any Association can apply for the same to construct a temple.

Among others, Smt. Neera Shastri, officer bearer of BJP and Shri Dharam Dev Solanki, MLA, Palam, representatives from Dwarka Forum, CGHS Federation, RWAs and other residents were also present. A lively music concert by Kumud Dewan was also presented.
