The abolition of Article 370 and 35A related to Jammu-Kashmir is the result of the strong will power and capacity to take strong decision by Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi. For the purpose of apprising the people through Jan Jagran Abhiyan in Delhi, Aitihasik Bhool Ke Aitihasik Sudhar, Delhi BJP organised a big public meeting in Talkatora Stadium. BJP National Working President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed large number of people on this occasion. Pradesh President Shri Manoj Tiwari presided over the programme and LOP Shri Vijender Gupta was the Convener of the programme. National Vice President and Delhi Incharge Shri Shyam Jaju, National Vice President Shri Dushyant Gautam, National Secretary Shri Y. Satya Kumar, Shri Sunil Deodhar, Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Vijay Goel, MPs Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, Shri Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma, Pradesh Organization General Secretary Shri Siddharthan, Pradesh General Secretaries Shri Kuljeet Singh Chahal, Shri Rajesh Bhatia, Mizoram Incharge Shri Pawan Sharma, Senior BJP Leader Shri Vijay Kumar Malhotra and program Co-Convener Shri Satender Singh and Shri Satya Narayan Gautam were present on this occasion.
Addressing the workers, BJP National Working President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda said that today we are fortunate that with the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi and BJP National President and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah we have been able to amend the historical blunder. We have been able to see in our lifetime Ek Vidhan, Ek Nishan and Ek Pradhan in our country. On the 5th August, 2019, Article 370 and 35A were abolished by the Parliament and the entire country is celebrating it. Today, the youth will tell their children that we have been the witness of the abolition of Article 370 and 35A. After looking into the political will and thinking of Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi, we find that his every work is for the protection of the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the country. In May, 2019 people exercised their right of voting and elected us and in the Parliament we voted for this historical decision. It is the responsibility of all of us to tell the people through Jan Jagran Abhiyan about the meaning of Article 370 and 35A, when it was included and how it was abolished.
Shri Nadda further said that Farukh Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti and Gulam Nabi Azad have been telling again and again that under Article 370, Jammu-Kashmir has got special status whereas there was nothing like this in the Constitution. They have been misleading the people of the country since long. In Article 370, it has been stated that this is a temporary and transitional provision. All the members of the Constitution Committee were against including Article 370. Seikh Abdullah had recommended for Article 370 but framer of the Constitution of India and first law Minister Dr. Ambedkar was against this and he refused to prepare a draft of it. After the refusal by, Seikh Abdulla went to Jawahar Lal Nehru and on the direction of Jawahar Lal Nehru, N. Gopal Swani Ayenger prepared the draft of Article 370. This provision defines the merger of Jammu-Kashmir in India.
Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda also said that Sheikh Abdullah had declared that Kashmir is independent and sovereign state and framed a separate constitution. Article 370 and 35A have strengthened them. Central Government used to allot large amount for the development of Jammu-Kashmir but only 3 families benefitted. Kashmir was not part of the mainstream and only some families prospered. Article 370 was Anti Dalit, Anti Women, Anti National and it was necessary to abolish. Under Article 356-B of the Constitution, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar provided power to President on the basis of which Article 370 and 35A have been abolished. Our strategists Home Minister Shri Amit Shah introduced Bill to abolish Article 370 and 35A. Pakistan became very angry on the abolition of Article 370 but due to the diplomacy of Modi it could do nothing. During the next 15 days, we have to apprise the people through Jan Jagran Abhiyan for the next 15 days about Article 370 and 35A.
Delhi BJP President Shri Manoj Tiwari said that all of us hoped that Article 370 and 35A will be abolished to connect Jammu-Kashmir with the national mainstream and it has been made possible with the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. Today the entire country feels proud about it and the entire world recognizes our top leadership. But the party ruling Delhi supports the Tukde-Tukde Gang and trying to save them. Such people take false oath of protecting the Constitution but violate its provisions.
