DWARKA FORUM meeting was held with Shri Rajvir Singh, Traffic Inspector (Dwarka) on 12th June, 2022. Dwarka Forum handed over a letter to Shri Rajvir Singh, Traffic Inspector (Dwarka) on various issues of Dwarka Sub City pertaining to Delhi Traffic Police.
Dwarka Forum (DF) requested to depute traffic police officials regularly, particularly during peak hours at various intersections such as: (i) Crossing of Sector-1,2,6 & 7, (ii) Crossing of Sectors 4,5,11&12, (iii) Ramphal Chowk Market, (iv) Rajapuri Crossing, (v) Mother Dairy Chowk in DDA’ s residential plotted area, Sector-8, Dwarka, (vi) Madhu Vihar Chowk etc for smooth traffic movements.
DF also requested to depute traffic police officials near religious places on major festival days, to streamline the traffic movement and specifically requested to increase traffic police during late evening hours.
The issues related to encroachment on some footpaths/service roads and requirement of painting of Zebra Crossing were also discussed in details.
DF requested for removal of unused barricades, lying on certain roads.
Dwarka Forum also requested for counselling of E-rickshaw operators and drivers of gramin sewa vehicles.
During the meeting, it was decided that Dwarka Forum in association with Dwarka Traffic Police will conduct “Traffic Awareness Camps” at some major intersections of Dwarka Sub City, said A S Chhatwal, General Secretary, Dwarka Forum.
DF brought to the notice of Traffic Inspector (Dwarka) about partially broken (blue coloured) high rise direction boards installed on MP roads and also discussed the requirement of Boards mentioning the permissible speed limit on Master Plan roads of Dwarka Sub City.
It was also decided that Dwarka Traffic Police and Dwarka Forum will conduct JOINT SURVEY in Dwarka Sub City to find out the some partially non-functional traffic signals, traffic signals covered with branches of trees and additional requirements of traffic signals or blinkers etc.
Shri Rajvir Singh, Traffic Inspector (Dwarka) took a note of all the points that emanated during discussions and assured all possible steps to make citizen’s life more comfortable.
