Handicapped Children’s Parents Association (HCPA) celebrated its 40th Foundation Day

Handicapped Children’s Parents Association (HCPA) celebrated its 40th Foundation Day on 22nd February 2026 at Sneh Kunj, Sector – 5, Dwarka, New Delhi. It’s members from Delhi NCR participated in the event along with their special children.

The programme started by lamp lighting by special children of Sneh Kunj followed by Ganesh Vandana. Thereafter children of Sneh Kunj gave their performances of poems, songs and dance. Children from New Asha Special School, Bal Vihar Kendra and Saksham Pratibha Kendra also gave their performances of music and dance. All special children gathered and danced to Bollywood music and made the atmosphere very lively.

The event was also graced by the presence of managing committee members of Gurudwara Singh Sabha, Dwarka Sector -11, Arya Samaj, Dwarka, Senior doctor from Aakash Hospital, senior executive of Relaxo Footwear, Rotary club, Dwarka, Sh. Amod Poddar and Mrs. Vijaylaxmi from Stand & Stride and Social activists Sh. Mukesh Sinha and Ms. Usha Zalpuri

Sh. Ashok Verma, President, HCPA in his address stressed upon the need of involvement of more and more people for the welfare of persons suffering with Cerebral Palsy and multiple disabilities. He appealed to all citizens, social associations and corporates to come forward and support the organisations working in the field of managing the disabled adults suffering from Cerebral Palsy or multiple disabilities as this area is still neglected by the society. Parents of such persons have little or no option for them once they are no more. He also explained the future plans of HCPA in this field.

Other office bearers of HCPA viz. Vice Presidents Dr. Sushil Kumar, Sh. K. K. Nangia, Secretary Sh. Ramesh Kumar Narang, Joint Secretary Sh. R. K. Nangia, Treasurer Sh. Gulshan Gulati and Hostel incharge Sh. Narender Gohil were also present on the occasion.
