N.K.Bagrodia Public School, Dwarkahosted TrishnaSummit 2016 – A Students’ Conclave .The Annual Inter-School Fest was organized with a novel vision and perspective in a unique incarnation. It was aspectacular show held on 29thApril 2016with alot of zeal and gusto. It was celebrated withan array of activities at different levels from classes I to XII with an approach to provide a platform to students from different schoolsto showcase their acumen. The summit received an overwhelming response by the mass participation of750 students from35 prestigious schools from Dwarka as well as West Delhi .
Trishna has been an endeavour to tap the inner talents of students with a motto to cap the unhealthy cut throat competition. Trishna is a journey in the quest of knowledge for the mind and an attempt which gave a unique opportunity to students to explore their flair for creativity and innovation. The icon of Trishna is ‘Zorba -The Buddha’ whose feet are firmly rooted to ground yet whose hands can touch the stars, conveying the message ‘ Ifyou can dream it, you can do it’.
The Opening Ceremony was commenced with invocation of blessings from the Almighty and lighting of the lamp of knowledge. Theevent was inaugurated and declared open by the esteemed Chief Guest,Brigadier P.N. Ananthanarayanan ,Deputy Director General MGO Branch . The Ceremony was graced by a galaxy of luminaries includingDr. S.K. Bhattacharya, director of NKBPS group of schools , Mrs. SudhaAcharya, Principal ITL Public SchoolDwarka and Mrs. PriyankaBhatkoti , Principal Maxfort SchoolDwarka.The Head of the school Dr.(Mrs.) Rajee N Kumar greeted the distinguished Chief guest, esteemed invitees and the worthy observers of the different eventsby presenting them planktons and mementoes.
The Chief Guest addressed the gathering with his words of wisdom and complimented the entire Bagrodian fraternity for the commendable initiative. He also extended his good wishes to all the participants. This was followed by the enthralling welcome dance -Ganesh Vandana performed by the young danseuses.
The summit encompasseda gamut of activities like- Story Junction for class II , Visual Art-Traditional Rangoli Design using M-seal and waste materials for classes IV to VI, Treasure Hunt- Brain Gym for classes IX & X,Mind Sweeper for classes III to V, Math- O -Mania Quiz for classes VI to VIII,Youth Forum-A Talk Show for classes VI to X,Hindi-Ras Mudra for class VIII, Performing Arts- NukkadNatak for classes VI to VIII,Literary Conclave- English Turncoat for classes IX &X, E-nnovation for classes XI-XII , Tech C-C++ Wizard for XI & XII.The entire day was abuzz with multifarious activities garnered all praise and appreciation for theirunique concept.
The Closing Ceremony was embellished by the presence of the distinguished Guests of Honour,Shri. KishanMeena , ACPDwarka, Mr. AnandPrakash, ACPDwarka and invited guest Mrs. JayashreeNavani, Vice Principal NKBagrodia Global School . The School Principal extended her felicitations to the honourable guests in attendance. An electrifying dance performance based on Panchtatvapresented by the students added a vibrant touch to the closing ceremony. This was followed by the most exhilarating segment where the participants’ best talents were felicitated with gift hampers and certificates.
The Guests of Honourshared their views and appreciated the students for their praiseworthy efforts. The Principal also expressed her comments on Trishna Summit 2016 which turned out to be a grand success.
The summit was a unique amalgam of creativity, thinking and innovation .It established its mark in a graceful manner for providing an opportunity to the students to display their best abilities .It was culminated amidst much splendour and fanfare.
