Hamirpur, March 2026:
In a historic achievement for the Hamirpur Press Club, land has been officially allotted for the construction of its building near Gandhi Chowk, in the premises of the old SDM office located in the heart of the city.
President Advocate Sushil Kumar had taken charge in February 2022 with a resolve to accomplish something permanent and meaningful for the club. After nearly one and a half years of continuous efforts, this vision has now become a reality.
Gratitude has been expressed to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and the district administration officials for their support in achieving this milestone.
Senior journalist and writer Prof. S. S. Dogra, currently working in Delhi and a native of village Parol in Hamirpur, congratulated President Sushil Kumar and his team and extended special thanks to the Chief Minister for this significant contribution.
