MCD EXTENDED THE DEADLINE FOR AVAILING THE REBATE ON PROPERTY TAX PAYMENTS TILL 31ST JULY 2025

Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) extended the deadline for availing 10 per cent discount on lump sum payment of property tax for the year 2025-26 upto 31st July, 2025 for the ease and convenience of tax payers, said Shri Ajay Kumar, Joint Assessor & Collector, (Najafgarh Zone), MCD. He therefore, appealed to such taxpayers, who have not yet paid their property tax, to avail the benefit by paying their due property tax before 31st July, 2025 positively.

Further, he also informed that more than 150 property tax collection camps has already been organised in Najafgarh Zone of MCD for the current financial year 2025-26 and taxpayers have availed theses services.

Shri Ajay Kumar also assured that more such Property Tax Camps will be organised on the request of Management Committees of Cooperative Group Housing Societies (CGHSs) and Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs) in their Societies / premises for convenience of the taxpayers. Shri Ajay Kumar further stated that MCD has recently launched a Tax Amnesty Scheme namely Sumpatikar Niptan Yojna (SUNIYO) 2025-26, starting from 01st June 2025 and is applicable till 30st September, 2025. The Scheme is very beneficial to those, who could not pay their property tax in the previous years due to some reasons. As per this Scheme, the taxpayer will have to pay only the principal amount of property tax of the current financial year 2025-26 and the last 5 years i.e. 2020-21 to 2024-25 without any interest and penalty. Upon availing the scheme, all the previous dues related to property tax will be waived off. The benefit of the scheme can be availed through applying online by visiting the MCD Website : www.mcdonline.nic.in . the mode of payment of property tax will be online only.
