Meeting with URJA,People’s Action delegate

A meeting of the forum was organized at sector-14 on 11.5.2008 with URJA(United Resident Joint Action),Apex body of RWA and Peoples’s Action(an NGO) working for civic issues.Peoples’s Action president Mr.Sanjay Kaul and URJA Chief Mr.Atul Goyal ,Mr.Rejimon C K ,Founder of Dwarka Forum and other members of forum and representatives of various RWA were present in the meeting.
Welcoming the delegates Sushil Kumar,Member Forum emphasized the need of exploring the opportunity of using the platform set up by these organization to the benefit of Dwarka.
Rejimon CK of Forum also expressed his view in the same line and requested all the member present to strengthen RWA movement for the betterment of civil society of the sub-city.A zonal committee for this was also approved which contains 15 members currently from different part of Dwarka(which will be doubled every meeting). He further added that physical contact should also be promoted besides online discussions to convert our energy into the execution as our systems demand so.Anil Nayal of the forum also echoed the same voice.
Atul Goyal of URJA entroduce the concept of Resident Ward Committee(RWC) where there is a provision of having a member of RWA in a ward.Members so nominated will form a committee alongwith ward concellor of the area.This committee will decide the priority of the area and its recommendation will be winding on the part of councilor.The detail of expenditure by the councelor will also be discussed.After forming these committee this will be registered with MCD.
In his final address Sanjay Kaul of people;s action explained that our electoral procedure is very much traditional on the basis of cast,religion,region and that is why the leaders are not bothering in solving the genuine problem and therefore,it needs to chaged.We have to make them understand that we will vote on the basis of work executed by them in ground.He added that we may have different ideology but our daily need is equal.Water,drainage,electricity has nothing to do with politics. He suggested to strengthen the movement for betterment of civil society.
